The longest par 4 on the course. Running in the opposite direction to the second hole – and usually into a head wind – is the long 3rd. Again a generous driving area has the previous ditch running along the left hand side which must be avoided for any hope of reaching the green in two shots. At 200 yards from the green is a grass bunker centrally in the fairway with a sand bunker 80 yards further on, both of which need to be avoided if a par 4 is to be achieved. When looking at the second shot, the green is elevated with the view slightly blocked by trees on the right which makes the approach challenging with a fade being the preferred shot. In the dip from the fairway to the green runs a stream with steep sides which should also be avoided.
Bunkers are positioned to the rear of this two-tiered green with one also at the right hand side.
This hole is a par 5 off both the Yellow and Red tees
