A gentle, slightly downhill opening hole to ease you into the round. The fairway is guarded by a bunker on right, with the approach to the green having a bunker to the right side and a mound to the left at the front of the green. The green slopes from front to back and it is deceptively hard to hold the ball without running to the back of the green. There is a ditch running the full length of the left hand side of the hole, with out of bounds beyond onto the driving range. Go too long with your approach and you will also be out of bounds.
